Mel Johnson (He/Him) is a fourth year PhD student specializing in Environmental Engineering and was the former social chair of SWEGS. Mel works with in Dr. Heather Bischel’s lab with a research focus on water treatment and analytical methods for monitoring viruses and other water quality indicators. His interests outside of academics include sports, as well as finance and economics, and entrepreneurship.
